David Owen, Professor of Homiletics
David E. Owen was saved at the age of eight and then God called him to preach at the age of thirteen. He has spent a total of nine years pastoring churches in Virginia, North Carolina, and now Georgia. He has also served a total of six years as an itinerate evangelist.
A native of Brevard, North Carolina, David received his Graduate of Theology degree from Tabernacle Baptist Bible College in Greenville, South Carolina. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Master of Arts degree, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Emmanuel Baptist University in Connelly Springs, North Carolina.
In addition to preaching in churches throughout the southeast and overseas, Dr.Owen has been a contributing writer for several sermon periodicals including “PATHS,” “The Exhorter,” and “The Preacher’s Voice.” He also served as Professor of Homiletics at the Faith Baptist School of Ministry in Vesta, Virginia.
He and his wife Angela have been married since 1988. They are the parents of two sons, Samuel and Jonathan.

Dr. Owen is presently the Pastor of Piney Grove Baptist Church located in Acworth Ga.
